Bloke suffers the first known vertically broken penis with MRI confirming the extent of damage

I'll let ya fill in the blanks on how this disaster unfolded.

WARNING: The following is guaranteed to make you grimace, you've been warned.

A 40-year-old bloke has made medical history by suffering a vertical break to his johnson. That's right - top to bloody bottom.

For the fortunate few who’ve never heard of such a fracture,  it’s what happens when your member is at full mast. When the tissue becomes hard, if things get a little too rowdy, you can bust your Joe.

And no, it’s not like breaking a bone - it’s the tissue that cops it. According to Mayo Clinic, it can be extremely painful and if not treated can result in erectile dysfunction.

The British Medical Journal gave the details on how the unfortunate event occurred. Apparently, his piece “buckled against his partner’s perineum” - the bit between the genitals and the backside. It's got bone underneath, which is anything but forgiving.

Usually, this sort of mishap happens horizontally with a notable 'pop’ sound. But this poor fella managed to go the extra mile and split his gear vertically with a recorded 3cm tear.

An MRI showed the damage and apparently this could be the first time doctors have recorded this sort of injury.

After rushing into surgery and a six-month recovery period, the bloke was able to participate in the same activity we imagine caused this horrible accident - we’ll leave you to fill in the blanks.

The even better news for the man? there were no concerns with appearance or quality in mechanics once the injury had healed.
