'That's my son': Mum loses kid at Metallica gig, finds he's been pulled on stage by Lars Ulrich

“Just made that kid's entire life in a single moment."

Metallica made one young fan's “dream come true” after pulling him on stage, much to the total surprise of his mum in the crowd.

Earlier this week, Anne Watson and her young lad Russell rocked up to Metallica’s recent Chicago gig like any other punters. Midway through the concert, Russell decided he needed a closer look at the band, and with a bit of a nudge from mum, he braved up and went deeper into the crowd.

“He took off, but then I lost him,” Anne shared.

As she became more nervous about her son’s whereabouts she quickly closed her eyes and asked her late husband to watch over Russell in the crowd.

Turns out he did one better! Much to the surprise of Anne, other punters in the crowd pointed to the stage and asked: “Is THAT your kid??”

Russel was parked up on stage sitting on Lars Ulrich’s drum kit, living the dream.

Anne said she burst into tears and yelled, “Holy shit, that’s my son! That’s my kid!”—which, let’s be real, is the only reaction that fits.

With rock fans being some of the best humans out, the crowd helped Anne get to the front of the stage to watch her boy headbang along to ‘The Unforgiven'.

“Dreams DO come true 🖤🙏 Thank you Lars for being such a truly genuine, kind, amazing human - words can’t express what this did for my son Russell’s heart,” Anne wrote to Instagram.

Russell even said he felt his late dad’s presence in the hug Lars gave him after the gig.

“He is a different kid after this experience in the BEST way possible,” Anne added. “My mom-heart is exploding with gratitude 🙌🖤🙏. Metallica, we love you forever.”

Fans flooded Anne’s comments stoked for young Russell, with one writing: “Core memory cemented in. What an incredible experience for the young lad.”

“Just made that kid's entire life in a single moment 🤘🔥,” said another.

While the official Metallica account said: “It was awesome to share the stage with your son 🤘🖤.”

Now, this is the kinda yarn you’ll wanna spin for years to come. Great stuff, Russell.
